The RE-Ability project – adult education to promote Relational Skills, intends to support the parenting skills of guest mothers within the care centers with their minors, to ensure that the mother-child couple can experience their relationship by establishing daily life and balance in their experience and by offering the mother educational accompaniment paths that can grow sufficient parenting, social-work, self-management and child-management skills and autonomy.
In order to do this, we need to assess the mother’s basic skills when she enters the care and draw up a parenting education plan, indicating the activities needed to achieve the set goals. To this end, a toolkit will be made available to mothers and operators with indications of possible activities for mothers to carry out with their children independently or guided by an expert.
The final products of the project are:

IO1 – Parenting Educational Plan – a tool to assess, enhance and monitor parenting skills

IO2 – Promoting and developing mothers’ social-relational competences: paths, tools, ideas and activities

IO3 – New educational needs: recommendations of mothers who are victims of violence
