This is a tool that provides the practitioner with guidelines for specific activities and tools to be used to achieve the educational objectives of the parenting plan. The toolkit suggests individual and group activities to be proposed to mothers, both with a view to managing the mother-child relationship so as to support the mother in acquiring new skills of educational autonomy on the basis of scientific evidence; and with a view to providing the educator with outlines of paths and activities that can be used to plan workshops also within the community and reception centres so as to foster a valid growth context.
In particular, a number of workshops were outlined:
“Tell me a fairy tale” workshop, guided reading paths for mothers. Reading and telling fairy tales to take a journey through emotions
Cooking workshop to experience and experiment together with one’s children
Sports and physical activities workshop, a guide on how to use sport to regain confidence, strengthen bonds.
Theatre and dramatisation workshop: how to make use of theatre techniques to deal with one’s own experience and communicate one’s emotions.
